Sjaak van der Lei

Sjaak van der Lei grew up in a farming family where horses were a natural part of everyday life. His career began in showjumping, where he developed into an international showjumping rider.

Over the years, Sjaak has broadened his expertise within the equestrian world and has become a well-known name in both dressage and showjumping. He is active in the sale of semen from various leading stallions and has bred several approved stallions himself. In addition, multiple horses from his stable are successfully competing at the highest level in sport.

With his sharp eye for quality and his international network, Sjaak is also closely involved in the selection of talented horses. He is, among other roles, a selector for the KWPN Select Sale and the initiator of his own auction platform Studutch.auction. In addition, he runs his own breeding program under the name Studutch, focusing on breeding and developing high-quality dressage and showjumping horses.

As an organizer of the Dutch Dressage Traders, he brings together his experience in organizing auctions, his entrepreneurship, and his passion for quality into a platform where sport, breeding, and trade strengthen each other.
